Happy birthday to Canadian musician Neil Peart, b. 1952, best known as the drummer and lyricist for rock band Rush. His complex drumming and extensive drum solos at live concerts have won him many reader’s poll awards from Modern Drummer and Drummerworld magazines. He and Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
