What’s Alberti Bass? The Great Animator for your playing.

Once you can play a melody with your right hand pretty well, step it up by adding accompaniment with the left hand.

Start with one tone with the left while playing with the right. You don’t have to play one for every right hand tone. One right hand tone over three or four left hand tone will suffice for a beginning pianist.

Try two at the same time.

Then three.

This one is a bit tricky because the pinky finger on the left hand is heavily relied upon, and many people don’t have that natural strength. It needs to be developed and also makes the music sound blocky, almost choppy, which is not great if that’s not what you’re going for.

Practice pinky strength and precision using this pattern. The left hand pinky is required to produce the strongest tone with high frequency.

Try it! You ‘ll like it!
